MEXANA BABUCH (VILLAGE OF DOBRINISHTE (CLOSE TO BANSKO)
 
Great little traditional restaurant a 10 minute drive from Bansko close to the entrance of Dobrinishte on the road heading south towards Mesta and Gotse Delchev. We have been to the Makedonia restaurant at Dobrinishte many times in the past but this time on the recommendation of our good friend Kjeld Hansen we decided to try Babuch.
   We were not to be dissapointed by the food,wine and service, this beautiful small atmospheric restaurant was the perfect place to enjoy a sunday lunch on the road back from Mesta to Bansko.
 between the 3 of us we shared:

 2 large platters of Sheep steak
1 platter of river trout
i large plate of home made fries
2 large parlenka garlic breads
1 green salad
1 bottle of coke
2 x 500 ml carafes of red wine

total price 55 leva

 
We will definately be returning to try some more of their menu!!!

    Last time with Robert Claiborne it was great for sure. My favourite is the ram steak-recommended.
    The homemade wine will not win any awards but for the price is good as well and serves the purpose.

    Finally a good restaurant at the golf course.
    Great food, decent prices and tolerable service.
